89. Someday by Jackie Evancho

Someday sung by Jackie Evancho (Click here to listen)

Someday, Somewhere
We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find a way of forgiving
Somewhere
There’s a place for us
Somewhere a place for us
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us somewhere
There’s a time for us
Someday a time for us
Time together with time to spare
Time to learn, time to care
Someday, Somewhere
We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find a way of forgiving
Somewhere
There’s a place for us
A time and a place for us
Hold my hand
and we’re half way there
Hold my hand
and I’ll take you there
Somehow, Someday, Somewhere

COMMENTS ON PREVIOUS SELECTION – “Radioactive”

People interpret the lyrics of “Radioactive” in various ways, but here we are interested in their use by Jesus. The song begins with a person in a prison, and though it could be taken literally, Jesus would sing it as one who has been imprisoned in his worldly culture, but who is ‘released’, following repentance, into a new world, a new age, that is totally different from past experience.  This was really the purpose of Jesus’ preaching and teaching: to invite others to step into the new age, the realm of God.
