The man with the foolish grin
Is keeping perfectly still
But nobody wants to know him
They can see that he’s just a fool
And he never gives an answer
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
Well on the way, head in a cloud
The man of a thousand voices
Talking perfectly loud
But nobody ever hears him
Or the sound he appears to make
And he never seems to notice
The man of a thousand voices

But nobody ever hears him
Or the sound he appears to make
And he never seems to notice
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
Ohh oh-oh-oh-oh ohh-oh-oh
Round and round and round and round and round
He never listens to them
He knows that they’re the fool
They don’t like him
Round and round and round and round and round
He never listens to them
He knows that they’re the fool

The fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
Ohhhh
Round and round and round and round and
Ohhhh
Round and round and round and round and
Ohhhh

“While My Guitar Gently Weeps”
Much has been written about why George Harrison wrote this song and what he meant; however, we are interested in what Jesus would have meant by it; although, both may have had a similar motivation. Jesus agonised over Jerusalem (Mt.23:37-39), he wept over Lazarus (John 11), he wept in the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-46), and undoubtedly wept over many things about this world’s sorrows (see Hebrews 5:7-10). Like George Harrison’s, Jesus’ guitar would have wept along with him.
