Worship is fundamental to who we are as a Christian community. It both expresses our relationship with God and inspires us to go out into the God’s world refreshed in our spirits and reoriented in ourselves to be about God’s work.
Services are held each Sunday at 10:30am at Ocean Grove, and last for about an hour.
The streaming of services, which began during the Covid shutdown in 2020, continues: the 10:30 service at Ocean Grove is being streamed live on Zoom using the following login details:

Barwon Heads services are at 9:00am except on the 3rd Sunday of the month, when an alternative style of worship is conducted at 5:00pm, followed by a meal.
COVID NOTE: While Covid remains a potential problem, the BH Church Council has suspended the 5pm service. Once life returns to some semblance of normality, the 5pm service and meal will recommence. Meanwhile, all services at BH will begin at 9am.
Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month in both congregations. An open invitation is extended to anyone who wants to receive Communion, including children. If you have any enquiries regarding this, feel free to contact the minister for conversation.
Although our worship services usually follow a traditional pattern of liturgy, contemporary songs and interactions are common features of our services, and a band regularly adds to the music of services at Ocean Grove on the 3rd Sunday of the month.
After the service, all are invited to a time of fellowship (tea, coffee and biscuits available). This is an opportunity for people to meet and greet each other, reflect on the church service and to catch up on the events of the week.
All services are led by the minister except the 5pm service at Barwon Heads on the 3rd Sunday of the month, which is led by lay people, and all services that fall on a 5th Sunday of the month, which is the minister’s one Sunday off per quarter.
