{"id":15612,"date":"2024-02-12T20:39:02","date_gmt":"2024-02-12T09:39:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oceangrove.unitingchurch.org.au\/?page_id=15612"},"modified":"2025-04-19T20:01:01","modified_gmt":"2025-04-19T10:01:01","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/oceangrove.unitingchurch.org.au\/?page_id=15612","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are members of the Synod of Victoria and Tasmania in the Presbytery of Port Phillip West: <a href=\"https:\/\/ucappw.org.au\/\">https:\/\/ucappw.org.au\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our churches have served the Ocean Grove &amp; Barwon Heads communities since the 1880s, first as the Methodist, Presbyterian and Congregationalist denominations, and since Union in 1977 as the Uniting Church in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>We live within the faith and unity of the one holy, catholic and apostolic Church, with beliefs informed by our foundational document, the <em>Basis of Union<\/em>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uniting.church\/basisofunion\/\">https:\/\/uniting.church\/basisofunion\/\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our congregations are welcoming and inclusive, offering family-friendly worship services at Barwon Heads @ 9am and Ocean Grove @ 10:30am. An online option is offered at Ocean Grove (link on website).
